THE BASE Phetkasem stands on Phetkasem Road in Bang Wa, Phasi Charoen — Bangkok's western bank, above the Phasi Charoen canal and next to the elevated railway. Three rai of land, thirty storeys, one building, six hundred and forty apartments.
Six hundred and forty apartments on three rai is the density such buildings are put next to a station for: the tower takes a plot that in the suburbs would hold a dozen houses. All six hundred and forty units are residential; the project has no commercial ones.
The shared part is lifted to the roof and spread into the garden: a rooftop pool overlooking the canal and the railway, a green tunnel of climbing plants on the approach, a seating pavilion, a lawn, a fitness centre and an office space.
Per the brochure's legal section the project owner is BTS Sansiri Holding Fourteen; the land is title deeds 538 and 149131 of about three rai, mortgaged to Bangkok Bank. Construction began on 1 June 2017 and completion was expected on 3 February 2020.
