THE BASE Saphanmai stands on Phahon Yothin in Anusawari — Bang Khen, northern Bangkok by the Saphan Mai station on the green line. Fourteen storeys and two basement levels in a single building, a separate two-storey clubhouse, four rai for all of it and eight hundred and twenty apartments.
The mix is the most detailed we have met: three one-bedroom types — 24.00–26.75, 27.75–28.25 and 32.00–35.50 sq m — a two-bedroom of 48.25–55.75, and two more with a high ceiling: a one-bedroom of 25.50–34.25 and a two-bedroom of 55.75. Six types in a building of this class means the apartment is chosen to fit habits, not from what is left.
The shared part sits in its own clubhouse: a pool, a gym, a lounge, a games room and a garden. Parking is tucked into two basement levels — on four rai it does not fit otherwise.
