Palmetto Condominium
About the project Palmetto Condominium
Palmetto Condominium is a small 30-apartment building in Karon, two kilometres from the beach. Six storeys, handed over in June 2020, built by Art House Group, which has worked on Phuket since 2012. This is not a tower of hundreds of units: thirty doors over six floors, about five per floor.
The building stands back from the beach strip at the foot of green hillsides. Karon Beach is 2 kilometres away, Kata — the next beach south — a little further; four minutes by car, about half an hour uphill on foot. The airport is 47.6 kilometres away, an hour's drive: Karon sits on the south-west of the island, which is worth remembering if you fly often.
Inside there is a lobby with a reception desk, a courtyard pool and a gym. The building has one passenger lift, and parking covers roughly a third of the apartments — nine or ten spaces for thirty homes, so a second car will be looking for street parking. There are no EV chargers.
The costs people ask about least and pay always: common area maintenance at 60 baht per square metre per month, and a one-off sinking fund contribution of 500 baht per square metre. Pets are not allowed.
The developer's payment schedule is straightforward: a 150,000 baht reservation, 35% on signing the contract and the remaining 65% on handover.
